Colin Jones

Founder & Creator of In The Name Of Love: The Diana Ross Story

Colin’s love for music began at two years old when his mum introduced him to drumming. His career started with him playing professionally in bands from the age of 13 and he became a sought after musician. During his career he has toured the UK, Europe and UAE extensively in both original and tribute shows.

Following a life changing motorbike accident, while recoving, Colin upscaled his skills and returned to University to complete a Degree in Music and Technical Theatre. This opened the door to greater production opportunities and allowed him to explore his true passion for creating shows that chronicle the life and works of amazing musicians.

As a lifelong Diana Ross fan, it was only natural that his next touring production should be the Diana Ross Story.

Colin has had the pleasure of working with Tameka Jackson for almost 15 years and it seemed the obvious next step to build a stage show to showcase her phenomenal talent and take audiences on a journey reliving every moment from The Supremes to today. Creating a timeline of songs meant including another of Colin’s close friends, Cherie Jade, to play the Diana Ross from The Supremes’ years. The band were handpicked to ensure the talent and attention to musical detail was fulfilled to make the show an instant hit.
